Natalie Kocsis has a Masters degree in Illustration and a Bachelor's degree in a bunch of other stuff -- both from Syracuse University. Recently she also received a second Masters degree (one can never have too many?) in Childhood Education from Touro University. After 20+ years toiling as an Art Director in the magazine publishing world for the likes of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, Parents Magazine and more, she now unleashes her creative enthusiasm onto the world of elementary students as an art educator. Natalie's illustrations have appeared in a number of books and magazine publications. One of her paintings, Lust, even found a home all the way across the sea in Italy... Appropriately in an office building near the Vatican! With the chaos of life, Natalie doesn't have much time to devote to personal painting projects these days and often only gets around to painting when there is a protest march she needs a cool sign for or when it's time to donate a portrait to her kid's PTA fundraiser. Natalie currently lives across the street from a cemetery in Brooklyn, NY with her kid and her weirdo kittycat where she enjoys listening to heavy metal music while trying to find time to experiment with new ways of creating very messy art. One of these days she might get around to building a better website (sorry this is so ancient!)
